PREPARE TO DEFEND
How to use HOLDING

HOLDING YOUR GROUND comes with both an e-book and a worksheet that allows you to analyze your location and group (team).  You can model your plan, justify steps and move forward with confidence.

A solid defense is not expensive.

It does not require racks of weapons, truckloads of ammunition or manufacturing illegal and dangerous "booby traps". There is no need for barbwire, guard towers or spike pits in your rose garden.

You won't have to do pushups, train like a Special Forces Operator or spend hours at the shooting range to implement an affective defense.

In fact, most of the concepts in Holding Your Ground can increase the value of your home or property. The book stresses that every step should have a "dual use" so you can avoid "buyer's remorse".

Holding Your Ground covers both Passive and Active defensive plans and helps you determine which will work best for you.

It is written for the typical American who is serious about preparing for bad times.

How to use the book -

HOLDING is divided into five primary sections:
      I.        A Methodology for Preparing – rules and tests to use before you take steps
II.        The Terms – basic terms, phrases and definitions you need to know about defense
III.        The Initial Assessment – what is the status of your defensive capabilities right now
IV.        How to improve your plan – things you can do to increase your capabilities
    V.        The Author’s Plan – To be used as an example and perhaps initiate new thinking
In Section II, you will be asked to research various facts and fill in the results into either the free worksheet, which was downloaded with your book, on the form below, which you can print out and do the math (all formulas are in appendix A) manually.
You then use the results of your research to help you make informed decisions. System’s Engineers refer to this as “Decision Support”. If you are thinking of improving your skills with a firearm, then you can see how the results will improve your plan. At a high level, you can model the effect of any investment of time, funds or energy.
As you progress through the book, you will find dozens of ideas to improve your plan. As you implement these, or your own ideas, you modify the worksheet (or form), and can see the value.

When you see this symbol (left) it indicates there is a potential entry or action to be taken with the worksheet.
You will also use the results of this next section throughout the remainder of the book in order to determine what equipment and supplies you will require in order to accomplish your plan.
